In the table below using the cartridge data described above note how it takes a velocity increase in muzzle velocity of about 200 f/s to make a less than 1/2 minute of angle (1.5") difference in point of impact at 300 yards when all are zeroed at 225 yards. Many people falsely believe that velocity makes a really big difference in the bullet's trajectory. According to the above chart, the laser dot must be about 1.5-inches BELOW the front sight. I use 25-feet (8.3-yards) inside my house but stand 12-inches closer. The software shows that the bullet is 1.47-inches below the line of sight at 8-yards (24-feet). I was not comparing the 6.5G to the 7.62x39, which has a very loopy trajectory and loses considerable KE after 300 yds. By zeroing the 6.5G at 600, it ends up with a rather large mid-range vertical divergence from LOS.
